FM 2017 Plenary Speaker secured
Daniel McCarthy, a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, has done extensive work in journalism. His work has appeared in the the Spectator, Reason, Modern Age, and Orion; he is currently the editor of The American Conservative. Outside of the journalism field, McCarthy has worked as editor of ISI books and served as the internet communications coordinator for the Ron Paul 2008 Presidential Campaign. He has lectured on a variety of topics including the Conservative Libertarian debate and conservative modernism. As editor for the American Conservative, McCarthy focuses his work on making “an effort to get ahead of the curve of some of the changes” that are facing the Republican Party in recent years. Daniel will be the opening plenary speaker on July 12, 2017 at the annual Fellows Meeting at Simmons College in Boston.
