How can I get involved in the Democracy Project?

Lots of ways!

  • Start a program in democratic dialogue on your campus or in your community and link it to the Democracy Project. If you need help getting started, contact us!
  • Identify an issue on your campus that needs a nudge. Perhaps your campus is "stuck" on a difficult concern: socio-economic diversity, interdisciplinary learning, intercultural competencies, religious literacy and public reason, student political and civic engagement, for example. We will work with you to explore ways to get "unstuck," ways that model best practices in public discourse and social change.
  • Join our email community of practice on Democratic Dialogue as a Teaching and Learning Tool, where you can share ideas, post announcements, join in chats and discussions, and belong to a national community of educators who share a passion for the arts of democracy.
  • Join the morning group at SVHE's annual meeting this summer.
  • Attend our next gathering (see Events)!
  • Spread the word.
  • Contact us to brainstorm other ways that you can get involved, bring the project to your campus, and join the working group.
